| Types of Houses |  At first, you should define are you buying a house or a home? There is a vast difference between a house and a home. A house can be a place to eat, sleep, park your car, and put all your “things”. It is a material ownership and an investment. A home is where you feel comfortable, warm, safe, and protected.
There are several types of houses from which you can choose suitable house:
1. A Detached House
A detached house is not joined to any other .This is a single-family home - A detached and stand alone housing unit designed and maintained for occupancy by one or more families.
Advantages: Provides best living space, own both lot and the house - best value appreciation choice, greatest privacy with greatest amount of control to change (no common walls ...),best financing available with lowest down payment and lowest rates. All outdoor activities are possible - barbecue, swing, swimming pool, gardening.
Disadvantages: Most expensive option than Townhouse, Condominium and Apartment, requires highest maintenance effort.
2. A Semi Detached House
A semi detached house is a house which is joined to another house on one side.
3. A Block of Flats
A flat is part of a bigger building where all the flats divide a front door. Only cities and very big towns have flats.
4. A Terrace House
There are streets of houses joined together in long rows. Lots of these have small gardens at the back. They are called terrace houses (terraced houses).
5. A Bungalow
A bungalow is a house which is only on one floor, no stairs. It may be joined to another bungalow or might stand alone.
